Fellowships & Grants for Staff & Faculty

Short-Term Research Grants
Accepted applicants are awarded for one to six months to highly qualified candidates who will have completed a Master's degree or Diploma, or in exceptional cases a Bachelor's degree, by the time they begin their grant-supported research, or to those who have already completed a PhD (postdocs). Please apply by May 1, 2020.


Research Stays
Accepted applicants are awarded for one to three months in all academic disciplines to scholars at US and Canadian institutions of higher education (with at least two years' full-time experience in research/teaching after their PhD) to pursue research at universities, librares, archives, institutes or laboratories in Germany. Please apply by May 15, 2020.
